Corporate Identity for 'Heimat, Moderne – Experimentale 1, Leipzig 2005'. A cultural festival reflecting and prospecting Modernism and its impact on contemporary architecture, urbanism and art in the perspective of the german reunification.

The project 'Heimat Moderne' placed particular emphasis on Leipzig's urban culture. At various events, artists, curators, writers, composers and urban planners discussed the processes of city shrinkage and economic status-symbol projects.

The programme included an exhibition at the Leipzig Gallery for Contemporary Art, a publication examining modern concepts of time, a short-film competition based on the theme of protest culture, an exhibition highlighting the architectural history and a new opera piece by Mela Maierhans, composed especially for Brühl (the house Richard Wagner).

The festival identity sought to establish a playful dialogue between the old and the future perception of east-german visual culture, illustrating the confrontation of ‘Heimat’, Modernism and the Experimental.
